Lithuanian Teachers Discover Inquiry Learning Spaces
On 2 December 2019, the Lithuanian National Agency for Education hosted a multiplier event “TIWI Project for Inquiry Learning” for teachers of elementary education, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and information technology.
The topics covered mainly focused on the TIWI MOOC and implementations of Inquiry Learning in the classroom by teachers of elementary schools.
The Lithuanian partner held an event targeting 20 Lithuanian teachers. They shared their learning experiences regarding the MOOC, discussed successes and emerging issues related to implementing Inquiry Learning.
The teachers participating presented an Inquiry Learning Spaces (ILS) created during the MOOC course, and shared experience using Graasp development tool. They discussed how to create a good ILS for inquiry learning in STEM, as well as how to initiate coding and develop computational thinking while implementing inquiry in the educational process
At the end of the event, teachers were inspired by their colleagues’ good practice examples, and they reflected on further ILS development and implementation in the classroom.
