First multiplier event at Le Mans University
On June 19, 2019, 25 motivated primary and secondary school teachers attended the first TIWI multiplier event, held at Le Mans University.
The meeting began with the welcoming words of Ms. Éliane Elmaleh, Vice-President Delegate for International Relations and Mr. Pascal Leroux, Professor of Computer Science and Vice-President of the research center of digital education.
After a friendly ice-breaker, Mr. Mohammed Oubella (project leader for LMU) presented the objectives, progress, expectations and benefits of the project.
The upcoming Teaching ICT with Inquiry MOOC was introduced as well; Mr. Gérard Vidal from the ENS / IFÉ of Lyon and French correspondent of the Next-lab project presented the GRAASP platform, which allows teachers to build his sequence by incorporating online labs and interactive applications.
Mrs Andéa Isambourg, European Training Project Manager (International Relations Department) then presented the actions proposed by the ERASMUS + program for the school education sector, including teaching and observation mobility at a European partner.
What came out of the event was a genuine interest in the project and an excitement in being part of a dynamic European network of teachers, focused on teaching, coding and the possibility of launching projects within their institutions through the network created.
